The Liberty-Benton Board of Education unanimously passed a resolution at the May 27, 2020 board meeting to provide all district families with a 25% fee reimbursement for the 2019-20 school year.
“We looked at our budget, crunched numbers and devised a solution that we hope works for all involved,” said Mark Kowalski, district superintendent. “We always try our best to carefully stretch our precious resources as far as possible, but we know that our families are also feeling a financial pinch. At the end of the day, providing even just a little relief to our families was just the right thing to do.”
The reimbursement will be credited for next school year and does not include a refund of the $45 technology fee.
