LB Finishes School Year Strong, Begins Preparations for 2022-2023

As I shared in my last blog, the final months of school were filled with our typical events — in-person I might add. This allowed us to put an exclamation point at the end of what was another challenging year.

One of the most notable events was graduation. On June 5, 112, seniors transferred their tassels to the other side of their graduation caps and said their final goodbyes to Liberty-Benton. We wish the class of 2022 much success and happiness in the next step of their journey.

Many of our student-athletes ended the year on a high note, literally and figuratively. Karis Willow’s high jump of 5’6” made her the regional champion and qualified her for the state meet on June 3, where she placed fifth. Similarly, Izzy Granger, the defending state champion in discus, won the state runner-up title.

This summer, we will be completing construction projects across our campus to ensure our buildings, parking lots and sports complexes are in tip-top shape for the coming school year. This includes a new entrance and replacing concrete and fencing at our stadium. Additionally, work continues on our all-new K-8 building.

I hope everyone has a happy and restful summer. We cannot wait to see all of our staff, students and families again in September! GO EAGLES!
