Liberty-Benton Kicking Off New Year With Campus Improvements

Liberty-Benton Kicking Off New Year With Campus Improvements

Welcome to the new school year Eagle Nation! I can’t wait to hear the hustle and bustle of students filling our hallways in just a few days.

Kudos to the students who continued their learning over the summer through Liberty-Benton’s summer reading program and/or our summer library program. Our students weren’t the only ones who stayed busy the past few months. Our staff, advisors and coaches have been preparing for this school year so that each student can achieve success through academics, arts and athletics.  A huge thank you to our dedicated band members, cheerleaders, and student-athletes who sacrificed the better part of their summer to represent L-B in a positive light!

Our custodial and maintenance crew also deserves a huge Eagle thank you! They have been hard at work putting the finishing touches on our buildings and grounds as we close summer break.  The new stadium entrance, high school renovations, and the County Road 9 widening project are all near completion and will add to our great campus now and in the future. We can’t wait to hear our high school students' reactions when they enter the renovated building and look forward to seeing how the new spaces will expand their learning this year. We will also have plenty of opportunities this year to recognize and celebrate the great moments that have taken place in our elementary and middle school over the years before students transition to the new K-8 building next school year.

After the past two years, we are looking forward to a year of normalcy. We have much to be thankful for here at L-B and I hope everyone has a happy and safe Labor Day weekend, and we’ll see you on September 6! And as always… Go Eagles!
