Ray Wolfe
5-12 Choir Director

Mr. Wolfe is the Director of Choirs at Liberty-Benton Schools. He directs the choirs in grades 5-12. He is the Producer, Vocal Director, and Ticket Coordinator for the annual high school musical as well as the director of “Fermata the Blue,” L-B’s co-ed a cappella group. He is also the Past President of the Ohio Music Education Association’s District 3. Mr. Wolfe is a Findlay native, having graduated from Van Buren High School, and holds his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Ohio University and Master's degree in Educational Administration from The University of Findlay. In his free time, Mr. Wolfe likes to golf, play pickleball, watch reality TV, and spend time with friends and family. Tom Holben
5-12 Band Director

Mr. Holben is the Director of Bands for Liberty Benton Schools. Those ensembles include: 5th-8th MS bands, HS Marching Band, HS Concert Band, HS Jazz Ensemble, Pit Orchestra, and Pep Band. He also teaches Music Theory and Appreciation at the HS. Mr. Holben received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Heidelberg University. He also holds an Associates Degree in Law Enforcement that he earned while serving in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Holben hails from the steel city of Pittsburgh, PA and is a Pirates/Penguins/Steelers fan. Mr. Holben enjoys spending time with his family, playing/ building guitars, and cycling.

Sara Ballou
5-8 General Music
Asst HS Choir Director

Ms. Ballou is the 6-8 General Music Teacher and Assistant High School Choir Director/Accompanist at Liberty-Benton Schools. She also teaches 5th grade study skills and is the Director for the annual high school musical. Ms. Ballou received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from Bowling Green State University. In January of 2025, she received her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from Walden University and works in a private practice setting as a Licensed Professional Counselor in addition to teaching. Michael Frankart
K-4 General Music
Asst 5th Band Director

Mr. Frankart is the K-4 General Music teacher and 5th Grade Assistant Band Director at Liberty-Benton Schools. He is also the Ohio Music Education Association District 3 General Music Co-Chair, alongside the Elementary Music teacher at Allen East. He received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music Education from Heidelberg University. Mr. Frankart was the K-12 General/Vocal Music Director at New Riegel Schools for 18 years before starting at Liberty-Benton in 2023. He and his wife own and operate Puck Coffee Truck LLC, and when he is not teaching or serving coffee, he adores spending quality time with his wife and three daughters.
