In order to qualify for the Liberty-Benton Middle School National Junior Honor Society, students must be in the 8th grade and meet the first criteria of having a 3.5 GPA or higher in the 7th grade. Students are then eligible to apply for membership in the Liberty-Benton Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. Eligible students are given an application with a detailed explanation of the application requirements. The 3.5 GPA is only one component of the requirements. The NJHS looks for students who show outstanding qualities in scholarship, character, citizenship, leadership, and service. Once students have met all of the requirements and are selected, they are inducted into the NJHS at a formal ceremony held with the high school National Honor Society.
