Kyle Markins

We were saddened to hear of the accidental shooting death of Liberty-Benton junior, Kyle Markins on Saturday evening. Brenda Frankart, LBHS Principal, and I spent time with the family yesterday afternoon followed by an informal gathering of counselors, friends and family members last night at the high school.

Counselors are available at the school to help students and staff cope with this tragedy.

We know that a lot of us will recall fond memories of Kyle. The high school school office will be collecting cards or written notes with memories of Kyle to share with the family.

Please keep Kyle and his family in your prayers. Funeral arrangements are pending at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home.
