2016-2017 Red Cross Blood Drive

The Liberty-Benton Middle School and Elementary School American Red Cross Blood Drive was a huge success on Monday, September 12. Thank you for those students who asked others to donate. Those donors were able to help save 105 lives. Thank you also to the following middle school students who gave their time to make the drive happen by volunteering to work with Mrs. Pickett: Robbie Crossman, Trey Stanton, Austin Hanni-Wells, Riley Irwin, Karmen Makowski, Beth Seidel, Tara Green, Rissa Green, Jenna Green, Ellie Eberhard, Autuem Symmes and Evan McMonigal. What a great example of serving in our community.

Mrs. Arnold’s 6th Grade Class Studies Pablo Picasso

Students in Mrs. Arnold’s 6th grade art class studied the cubist-style artwork of Spanish artist Pablo Picasso. Students then drew, cut, assembled, and painted cubist-style face sculptures. These 6th grade projects demonstrated abstraction, broken-mirror effect, geometric shapes, simplified shapes, multiple viewpoints, and rearranged facial features. This amazing artwork is currently being showcased at the Liberty-Benton Middle School Library.

2nd Annual Cancer Awareness Soccer Game

The Liberty-Benton High School Boys Soccer team is hosting their 2nd Annual Cancer Awareness Soccer game on October 1, at our home game against Fort Jennings. Last year, we raised just under $1,100 and we would like to double that amount this year.

Over the next week, we will have more information on how to order a shirt or how to sponsor or donate an item for our raffle. Go Eagles!
