All of the 5th graders met in the gym and Mr. Otley spoke to them about some of their questions they had about next year as middle schoolers in 6th grade. They were led by 8th grade student council members who helped them rotate to classrooms giving them the opportunity to meet with each of the sixth grade teachers who discussed what they would be doing in their classes next year.

Pat Wagner Memorial Run

The Second Annual Pat Wagner Memorial 5k Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. at the Liberty-Benton High school, located at 9190 County Road 9.

Pat Wagner was a member of the local community for several decades, spending 42 years teaching physical education and coaching. While he obtained great success in the world of coaching, his impact on his family, friends, colleagues, athletes, and students extended much further.

Last year we had a wonderful turnout for our inaugural race and we hope that you join us for the 2nd Annual Pat Wagner Memorial 5K Run/Walk, where we will celebrate his life, relive memories, and get some exercise! The event will take place at Liberty-Benton High School and net proceeds will benefit a youth scholarship fund through the Community Foundation!

STRIDES Provide Supplies to Women’s Resource Center

The Women’s Resource Center is a place where mothers who cannot make ends meet and need some help while they try to get back on their feet can find such assistance. Mrs. Foltz’s STRIDES group gathered a bunch of baby supplies and donated them to the Women’s Resource Center. The workers there were very grateful and sent us a thank you note. We are very happy to donate to an organization that helps those in need.
