LB Music Students Visit New York City

The music department had a very successful trip to New York City over Spring Break. Seventy students and twenty-one chaperones went on the trip and participated in a variety of activities. Students participated in a Song and Movement workshop with Broadway performers from the show Come From Away. During the workshop, students learned music and choreography from the musical. Later that night the students had the opportunity to see the show on Broadway with cast members that the students had worked with earlier that day. ​​​The Choir had the opportunity to perform at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. The Band enjoyed performing on the USS Intrepid. Students also enjoyed a performance of School of Rock on Broadway. Other attractions were the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and tours of Times Square and Central Park.
