Staff Member of the Month for April

Mr. Brandon Cupples is in his 16th year of teaching math at Liberty-Benton High School. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education and his Master’s Degree in Education from Bluffton University.
Mr. Cupples grew up in Mount Cory, and he and his wife, Carmen, have been married for twelve years and live on a small farm outside of Pandora. They live on a century farm where his grandparents and great-great grandparents once lived. They have four kids: Teaghan (8), Channing (7), Braelynn (5), and Kynnslee (3).

Mr. Cupples enjoys watching his students work hard to achieve things. When a student is struggling with a concept and continues to work hard until he or she masters the concept, it is not only gratifying to the student, but also to the teacher as well.

Mr. Cupples has a brother that lives in Dubai and another brother that lives in North Carolina. They both come home once a year in the summer, and Mr. Cupples is looking forward to seeing them and their families this summer.
Mr. Cupples loves being physically active. He enjoys playing ultimate Frisbee and basketball with friends, taking bike rides and playing soccer with his family, hiking, and cutting wood for their wood burner. He also enjoys reading to his daughters before bedtime at night.
